Гойдну́ли гори хвиль — Афганістан*.
Ударно, гомін-тріскит, бунчука́ми*,
Неначе, марші грав підбитий фланг.
…І люди, статуетками з поличок,
Злітали, розбивалися, мели́сь.
І звірі дикі із ущелин вбивчих
В провінції Кунар, в схил пасовиськ,
Ревіли під породами рушничними…
Настро́мні течії у океані магми
Гойдають знов крихкий Афганістан…
